Academic honesty
Academic honesty in the DP is a set of values and behaviours informed by the attributes of the learner
profile. In teaching, learning and assessment, academic honesty serves to promote personal integrity,
engender respect for the integrity of others and their work, and ensure that all students have an equal
opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they acquire during their studies.
All coursework—including work submitted for assessment—is to be authentic, based on the student’s
individual and original ideas with the ideas and work of others fully acknowledged. Assessment tasks that
require teachers to provide guidance to students or that require students to work collaboratively must be
completed in full compliance with the detailed guidelines provided by the IB for the relevant subjects.
For further information on academic honesty in the IB and the DP, please consult the IB publications
Academic honesty in the IB educational context, The Diploma Programme: From principles into practice and
General regulations: Diploma Programme. Specific information regarding academic honesty as it pertains to
external and internal assessment components of the DP history course can be found in this guide.

About this Weebly:
The purpose of this weebly is to help students gain greater knowledge of subjects that are taught within school. This is geared mainly towards the IB program, but can be useful within any History/Individuals and Societies classes. I owe a great deal to Mr. Burnside who has been indispensable in much of the work in the G10 and 9 sections. For the DP I thank Mr. Conway for his extensive resources he has on his Weebly.
